Dementia Australia represents 400,000 Australians living with Dementia and various related diseases to Alzheimer’s. Dementia is now the 2nd leading cause of death in Australia, and about 244 people each day join the dementia population nationwide. Due to the impact of this disease being very local and the cause being very dear to fellow Australia, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Australia decided to support this cause with the initiation of the 1st MKA Charity Walk. Clean Up Australia Day 2017

By the Grace of Almighty Allah, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Australia arranged participation for Clean up Australia Day on Sunday, 5 th of March 2017. This event was first initiated by Ian Kiernan who founded the initiative in 1989 and is the current chairman for the national event The Jama’at has been actively involved in this activity since its very inception. For the past 27 years Australians have donated more than 32 million volunteer hours, removing the equivalent of 344 thousand Truckloads of rubbish from over 171,000 sites across the country.
