Walk for Peace – October 2017

Dementia Australia represents 400,000 Australians living with Dementia and various related diseases to Alzheimer’s. Dementia is now the 2nd leading cause of death in Australia, and about 244 people each day join the dementia population nationwide. Due to the impact of this disease being very local and the cause being very dear to fellow Australia, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Australia decided to support this cause with the initiation of the 1st MKA Charity Walk. Message from the Department of Taleem   In the Name of Allah, The Gracious, The Merciful, Dear Khuddam Brothers, Assalamo Alaikum Warahmatullahe Wabarakatahu, The Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Australia Annual Taleem Syllabus 2017-18 that is being shared with you in the following pages focuses on a few specific areas of religious knowledge, mainly the following: An introduction to Islam as a religion and certain basic religious concepts. Essentials of Namaaz for your learning and practice, a selection of chapters from the Holy Quran, Ahadith and prayers. Books of the Promised Messiah (as). The syllabus has also been divided into three different levels, each comprising of a selection of items from the components above to cater to khuddam at different stages of their journey in terms of their religious knowledge, practice and awareness. These simply exist as a measure of the minimum level of learning and knowledge a khadim is expected to have attained as a benchmark for evaluating ourselves and consistently moving forward on their path of religious learning. Clean Up Australia Day 2017

By the Grace of Almighty Allah, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Australia arranged participation for Clean up Australia Day on Sunday, 5 th of March 2017. This event was first initiated by Ian Kiernan who founded the initiative in 1989 and is the current chairman for the national event The Jama’at has been actively involved in this activity since its very inception. For the past 27 years Australians have donated more than 32 million volunteer hours, removing the equivalent of 344 thousand Truckloads of rubbish from over 171,000 sites across the country.
